Ralph L. D'Alessandro, Jr.

Ralph L. D’Alessandro, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 24, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Fusco). Loving father of Laura (Augustine) D’Alessandro and Ralph (Julie) D’Alessandro, III. Cherished brother of Anthony D’Alessandro, Linda Curto, Joseph D’Alessandro, Robert D’Alessandro, and the late Rosemarie Troiano and John D’Alessandro. Devoted grandfather of Jessica (Daniel) Ciampo, Michael (Alyssa) Bartorelli, Erica (Anthony) Costanzo and Nico D’Alessandro. Great-grandfather of Aubrey Bruns, Aiden Costanzo, Avery Costanzo, Calum Ciampo, Cian Ciampo, and Austyn Costanzo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and countless friends. Born in Philadelphia on June 4, 1940, to Ralph, Sr. and Carmella (DeFrancesco) D’Alessandro, Ralph would decades later move to Glassboro, NJ, where he enjoyed his golden years in the Garden State. He worked as a technical illustrator for SPD Technologies/L3 Harris in Philadelphia until his retirement. Known by many as Poppy, Ralph was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a true family man. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Ralph also enjoyed listening to the music of Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and Doo Wop Oldies, watching Philadelphia sports and old Westerns, and playing softball and card games. His collection of classic model cars was second to none. Ralph always knew how to light up a room, he could make anyone laugh and - quite simply - was always the life of the party. He touched the lives of so many people and anyone who crossed paths with Ralph, from his close friends to the grocery store clerk, knew what a great man he was. The memory of his love, kindness, generosity and laughter will always be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10:30am at Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 500 Greentree Rd., Glassboro, NJ 08028.
