Carroll B. Baker on November 27, 2025 of Deptford. Age 95. Beloved husband of MaryAlice Baker (nee Powell). Loving father of Robert J. Baker (Barbara) of South Carolina, Thomas Baker (Monique) of Canada, Cathy Carey (Grant) of Georgia, Linda McCormick (Michael) of Voorhees, and his daughter-in-law Debbie Baker. Cherished brother of Shirley Cox (Don) of Indiana and the late Eugene Baker (June). Devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Joseph (Angelina), Melissa, Brittany (Chris), and others. Great-grandfather of Jayden, Walker, Orion, the late Tristan, and others. He was the adored uncle of Sandy (Kevin), Michelle (Ben), Teresa (Brad), Kim (Dave) and the treasured great-uncle of Caitlyn, along with many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Carroll enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—fishing, crabbing, traveling, and gardening. He and his wife traveled the world together, creating cherished memories and forming friendships wherever they went. Carroll even had the honor of placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located at Arlington National Cemetery, during their 2024 mystery trip with their travel group. He deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a deep love for animals and a special bond with his dogs. Carroll was known for enjoying a good gin and tonic (always without lime), and for his warm, social nature. He never met a stranger that he couldn’t strike up a conversation with. He was truly the life of the party and could always be found on the dance floor with MaryAlice, where his laugh and smile lit up the room. He was a proud man, a natural storyteller, and a joyful jokester. As a child growing up on the farm, Carroll had a mischievous side, and when he told stories about those early days—or about his time in the Navy—there was always a sparkle in his eyes. He had a habit of laughing so hard while telling a joke that he’d be cracking up long before he got to the punch line. His memories were full of humor, heart, and a life well-lived. Carroll found great purpose in supporting his grandchildren, and his advice to others was always heartfelt and sincere. To those who loved him, he was truly irreplaceable, and he will be missed with a depth that words can hardly capture. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Viewing on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 10am to 11:30am in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096.
