James E. Aumack

James Evart Aumack of Wenonah, passed away at home on March 13, 2023 at the age of 85. "Jim" was the beloved husband of 64 years to Marguerite Lydia (nee Russell) Aumack. Loving father to Debra Godsey of Hammonton (predeceased by the late George Godsey), James Aumack (Louise) of Sewell, David Aumack of Wenonah, and predeceased by the late Timothy Aumack, Grandfather to Diana, Rosalie, David, George, Steven, James, Kevin, and Savannah. Great-Grandfather to Chase, Caylee, Jacob, Luna, George, and Silas. Dear brother to Gary Aumack, Faith Becket and Kenneth Aumack. He was predeceased by his siblings: the late Arthur Aumack, Jr., Beatrice Pratt, Alda Barnhardt, and Donald Aumack. Jim was born in Matawan, NJ on November 12, 1937, to the late Arthur Aumack and Alda (nee Thorne). His family moved to Lake Tract and then Deptford, NJ. He attended Woodbury High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Des Moines during the Mediterranean Tour and Lebanon Crisis. He was honored to be a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1679 in Mantua, NJ, and the American Legion Post 133 in Woodbury, NJ. Jim had a rewarding career as a carpenter, and he was a member of the Carpenter Union Local 393. Jim was an avid sports enthusiast who loved the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. He was happy to see the Philadelphia Phillies win the World Series, and the Philadelphia Eagles win the Superbowl in his lifetime. He enjoyed going to Penn State football games. Jim was a baseball coach for the Deptford Little League. He also loved hunting, fishing, and traveling in his motorhome. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's visitation on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9am to11am in The Chapel of Boucher Funeral Home located at 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford NJ 08096.
