Leonard T. Beatty, on December 31, 2022. Age 85, formerly of Oak Valley and North Cape May, NJ. Leonard was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Alfred and Anna Beatty (nee Lachwa). In 1959 he married his sweetheart, the late Kathleen (nee Davey) . Leonard and Kathleen were blessed with 63 years of marriage. During those 63 years they lived in Philadelphia, PA, Oak Valley section of Deptford, and retired in North Cape May, NJ. Leonard and Kathleen had six children, the late James Beatty (Karen Burg) of Mantua, NJ, Alan Beatty (Ivanna Vitkovitsky) of Jacksonville, FL, John Beatty (Kim Cocchi) of Oak Valley, NJ, Diane Watkins (the late Steven) of Deptford, NJ, Patricia McCutcheon (Michael) of Deptford, NJ and Jamie Pelan (Joseph) of Villas, NJ. Cherished Grandfather of Jason, Jared, Jordan, Kimberly, Michael, Andrew, David, Matthew, Kathleen, Julie, Rachel, Stephen, Cary, Gina, Helen, Matthew, Ryan, Hayley, Gary, Vivian, Joseph and predeceased by Jeffrey. Leonard had 26 Great Grandchildren with 2 more due in Spring of 2023. Leonard served his country in the Air National Guard for eight years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boardwalk trips in his spare time. Once Leonard retired from The Delaware River Port Authority, as a toll collector, he moved to North Cape May, NJ and became a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a devout Catholic and a member of Saint Margaret’s Church of Woodbury Heights and when he and Kathleen moved he became a member of Saint John of God Church of North Cape May, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing Friday, January 6, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm in the Chapel at Boucher Funeral Home, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ.
