Marguerite L. Aumack

Marguerite Lydia Aumack (nee Russell) of Mantua, formerly Wenonah passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 90. Marge was the beloved wife of 64 years to the late James E. Aumack, who passed away on March 13, 2023. She was the loving mother to Debra Godsey of Hammonton (predeceased by the late George Godsey), James Aumack (Louise) of Sewell, David Aumack of Absecon, and the late Timothy Aumack; grandmother to Diana, Rosalie, David, George, Steven, James, Kevin, and Savannah; and great-grandmother to Chase, Caylee, Jacob, Luna, George, Silas, Sophia, and Emily. Dear sister to Emma Wood, Charles Russell, Dorothy Crumley, Ethel DeFebbo, and Willis Russell. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Joseph Russell Sr., and sister, the late Carolynn Fitch. Marge was born in Laurel Springs, NJ, on October 31, 1935, to the late Joseph Ball Russell Jr. and the late Matilda Russell (nee Letterle). She was the second oldest of eight children and the oldest daughter. From a young age, Marge helped care for her younger brothers and sisters, beginning a lifetime of devotion to her family. Marge graduated from Woodbury High School in 1955. Afterwards, she attended the Helene Fuld School of Nursing on a full scholarship, graduating in 1958. She went on to have a rewarding career as a compassionate and dedicated nurse who touched many lives until her retirement. She married her husband, James E. Aumack, on September 20, 1958. Marge had a zest and love for life. She loved spending time with her family, especially celebrating holidays and birthdays and turning ordinary days into fun-filled days. She was creative and artistic and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, painting, drawing, doing puzzles, and arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed working on Fourth of July floats for the Wenonah parade for her grandchildren. Marge found great joy in traveling with her husband and grandchildren in their motorhome, going to the shore, making the annual family camping trip to Knoebels, and even visiting Brazil twice. She found peace and enjoyment in nature while working in her flower beds, watching birds visit her bird feeders, playing with her dogs, hiking, and canoeing. She appreciated music, especially playing the piano and listening to Irish music. Marge will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her strength, creativity, sense of adventure, and love for her family will live on through the stories, traditions, and memories she gave us. Services Private.
