Joseph J. Kivlen, Jr. “Joe” on December 24, 2020 of Deptford. Age 82. Loving husband of Irene Kivlen (nee Cataline) of Deptford and the late Alice Kivlen. Treasured father of Vanessa Stahl (Pete) of Woolwich Twp., Victoria Helmuth (Dave) of Deptford, Joseph J. Kivlen, III (Joann) of Mantua, Susan Fizur (Jim) of Deptford, Patrick Kivlen of Gibbstown, Derek Lynch (Lynda) of Woodbury, Jessica Milburn (Pat) of Mickleton and the late James D. Lynch, Jr. Cherished brother of Alice Sharp (Tom) of Deptford and Baronda Thorp (John) of Franklinville. Beloved grandfather of 20 and great-grandfather of 13. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Joe was the former Mayor of Deptford Twp. from 1983 – 1990, where he also served as a councilman and on the planning board. He was the superintendent of Local 592 Construction Union in Philadelphia. He was employed by Joseph J. Jingoli and Sons Construction. In Joe’s free time he enjoyed going to the Poconos, Cape May and was quite the civil war buff.
