Kenneth Kline

February 4, 1925 - January 2, 2022

Kenneth “Ken” Kline 96, of Deptford, died peacefully Sunday, January 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born in Tower City, Pa., on February 2, 1925, he was the son of Ruby Kline. He graduated from Overbrook High School in 1943 and attended Villanova University. He was a credit manager for Caddy Corporation in Logan Twp. Loving husband of Joan R. (nee Rogers) for sixty-nine years. Beloved father of Donna Berry (William) of Marlton, Karen Cipriani (Joseph) of Maryland, Kenneth David Kline of Seattle Washington, Kimberly Kline of Voorhees, Eric Kline (Cybele) of Arizona and the late Lisa Kline. Devoted grandfather of Jonathan Cipriani (Alicia), Lauren Cipriani, Ryan Berry (Jade), Michael Berry (Kayla) and great-grandfather of Harper, Colton, William :Billy”, Isabella and Andrew. Ken was a US Army WWII Veteran and received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. His platoon helped liberate Dachau Concentration Camp as they arrived just two hours after it was discovered by ally troops. Ken played on the European All Star Baseball Team and won the European Theatre during World War II. He was nicknamed Chuck Klein after the All Star Philadelphia Phillies All Star player. After serving his country, Ken played semi-pro baseball for the Chicago Cubs. Ken became an avid golfer and won multiple Senior and Super Senior Golf Championships in Gloucester County. Funeral services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 524 N West Blvd, Vineland, NJ 08360 or St. John of God Community Services 1145 Delsea Dr., Westville, NJ 08093.
