Ronald F. Svitak on January 23, 2020 of Woodbury. Age 68. Dear son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Svitak (nee Kopaczewski). Beloved husband of Sandra Reddin-Svitak (nee Redfield) of Woodbury. Devoted father of Amy R. Kelly (Dave) of Audubon, Melanie Stocklin (Johnny) of Audubon, Ronald F. Svitak, Jr. (Ricki) of Westville and step-father of Christina Reddin (Joe) of Florida, Andrew Reddin (Jen) of West Deptford, and Daniel Reddin (Debbie) of Mullica Hill. Cherished brother of Johanne Courtade (Daris) of Mantua, Marlene Casey (the late Frank) of Deptford, Brian Svitak (Helene) of Deptford, Karen Watson (Edward) of Tennessee, Catherine Banning (William) of Deptford, Ann Carol White (Kevin) of Deptford, and Dawn Blair (Robert) of Deptford. Treasured Grandpop of Alice, Charlie, Sydney, Jax, Livvy, Jason, Christian, Selma, Bash, and step-grandchildren Dylan, Alison, Tyler, Marley, Brody and Autumn. Best friend of Dan Sullivan, Bill Engles, Raz, Albert Sullivan and many many more. Ron leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his cherished dog, Pepper. A boisterous and passionate man, Ron devoted his life to his family. He was a true family man, and was known to have a “zest for life” and loved watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events where he was the “loudest fan in the crowd”! Ron proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Ron was employed for over 43 years by ILA 1291 as a longshoreman and crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating, taking care of his lawn and going to AC or Sugar House Casino. He will be missed deeply by his loved ones. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 9am to 10am in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Wednesday at Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 86 Cooper Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment and Military Honors Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
