Arthur L. Sellers, Jr. of Deptford passed peacefully on March 8, 2025. He was 93 years young. Beloved husband of the late Mary Sellers (nee Heidel.) The Sellers sweethearts are finally reunited in Heaven. Wed in 1951, these love birds shared a lifetime of endless joy and the deepest love and built a beautiful family together. A doting and devoted Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, Arthur’s family was his pride and joy. Loving father of Dianne Sobieski (late Stephen) of West Deptford, James Sellers of Deptford, the late Arthur L. Sellers, III (late Karen) and the late Thomas Sellers (Jacqueline) of Laurel Springs. Cherished brother of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Giardinelli (late Joseph.) Treasured Grandfather of Arthur IV (Heidi), Lowell, the late Duane, Scott (Denise), Amanda, Timothy (Melanie), the late Thomas Jr., Kelley-Ann (Evan), Michael, Ryan (Alyce), Tiffany and Connor. Affectionate Great-grandfather of Makayla, Logan, Emma, Sienna, Stephen, Arthur V, Madelyn, Liam, Jameson, Layla, and Sloane. Fond Friend to all fur balls, especially his late Malamute, Natasha along with his family’s pets, who he could often be found sneaking snacks to whenever he could. Arthur will also be missed dearly by numerous extended family and friends. Arthur was “Pop” to everyone lucky enough to know him. And to know him was to love him. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then went on to work at Westinghouse for over 35 years until his well-deserved retirement. Once retired, Art and Mary set their sights on traveling, cooking together and spending quality time with their Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. “Poppy Art” would light up with the biggest smile whenever he was around them, especially when he got the chance to build legos or creating projects with them… Pop, “The Man. The Myth. The Legend.,” was a man of many talents and always methodically planning and working on new projects. He enjoyed and excelled in his carpentry and was always ready to help build or repair something (he could famously fix anything.) Our cooking connoisseur also found delight in collecting recipes and made it his continuous quest to curate and share them with family. He was legendary for his homemade bread and his cheesecake. Pop also took much satisfaction intending to his garden and many thriving plants. He could nurse any plant back to life with his green thumb. Pop was committed to each and every project and always found a way to figure things out. With admiration, he was referred to as, “The Invincible,” because he carried that same steadfastness throughout all of life’s obstacles and endeavors. Over the years, Pop was apart of various groups and social clubs. A favorite being the early morning Deptford Mall walkers, where he respectfully held the title of “Art the Dart.” Also, a devout Catholic, Arthur was an active parishioner of the Church of Incarnation in Mantua. He was unwavering with his Faith, a resolute prayer warrior and lived a life dedicated to kindness and helping others. Most of all, Pop will be remembered for his strong spirit and being the loving light that he was and forever will be. A true gem of a gentleman and always thoughtful beyond measure, there was not a person he met that he did not make smile. Whether it was his wisdom, wit and warmth, or his gentleness with those baby blue eyes, Pop carried a special charm about him that instantly made everyone around him feel comfortable and cared for. A life well-lived and well-loved. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Arthur’s wonderful life on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford NJ 08096. The viewing will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in The Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment immediately after at New St. Mary's Cemetery, in Bellmawr.
