David M. Freundlich

David M. Freundlich “Dave” of Deptford joined the Angels on May 27, 2026 at the age of 55. Born in Woodbury, NJ on November 11, 1970, to loving parents Horst Freundlich and Maria Teresa (nee Cardenas) both deceased. Dave came as a wonderful surprise to his parents later in life. His four siblings are 12 to 15 years older than him. The oldest being his big brother, Carlos (Maureen “Mikey”) of Deptford. Followed by his only sister, Martha Purnell (Bill) both deceased of Woodbury, NJ. Next in line his brother Bill (Karen) of Newfield, NJ. Concluding with his brother John of Deptford. Dave was a treasured brother-in-law to Fred (Sara) of Deptford, Jeanette (Steve) of Sewell, Dil (Kenny) of Wildwood, Julie (John) deceased of Washington Township, Mindy (Doug) of California, Edward (Juliette) of Hawaii, and Linda (Will) of Runnemede. Dave was a beautiful baby who loved to bounce to the music his Mom would play on their stereo. As he grew up, he would always have a Matchbox car in hand. Losing his Father at 5 years of age shaped Dave into a curious but cautious child. He had a few rebellious teenage years. Soon settling into a kind and gentle spirit. His Aunts, Gilma (Carlos Julio) and Stella (Jorge) deceased, along with his Uncle Luis (Angela) were a constant source of support throughout his life. Dave’s winding road soon led him to the love of his life, his wife, Barbara-Jo, finding a strong, loving support that he always longed for. Dave and Barb built a bonding relationship filled with love, adventure and a sense of peace. Ambling through ordinary days with all its ups and downs holding onto the bond they created. Dave worked as a Painter and was a part of the Painters Union District Council 21 in Philadelphia for 26 years. He loved riding his motorcycles and feeling the wind on his face. His most favorite time was when he went riding with his buddies in Shenandoah Valley. He absolutely loved that trip. He was an avid collector of old cars which he loved to burn rubber and drive. You would hear Dave saying, “Which car am I going to drive today?” His slot car collection was like none other. Anyone who saw it was in total amazement. It lines the basement walls in display cases. Dave also enjoyed flying his remote-control airplanes and cars, swimming in his pool, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He loved his trips to Disney, Jamaica, and other destinations with his wife. Some of Dave’s most memorable moments were working on cars with his brother Carlos, pool days and drinking slushies with his brother Bill, and watching the Eagles and Phillies games with his brother John. Dave was loved by everyone. He was so caring and forgiving. Having one of something wasn’t good enough- Dave had to have “multiples” of EVERYTHING. Dave was a big guy with an even bigger heart. His kind, boyish demeanor was infectious and drew family, friends, and strangers to him. He was deeply loved by his numerous nieces and nephews, along with many loving cousins. Dave was loved by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 6pm to 9pm AND on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 10am to 11am in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096. Funeral Service 11am in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment Private.
