Gladys A. Pierson

Gladys Anna Pierson (nee Lewis) died peacefully with family by her side on January 25, 2025. Age 90. Born to the late Howell R and Gladys F Lewis (nee West), at home, in the Lake Tract section of Deptford Township where she lived her entire life. Beloved wife of the late Robert F. Pierson, Sr. Loving mother of Robert F. Pierson, Jr. (late Anita) of Franklinville, Paul H. Pierson (Mary) of Sewell, Kathy A. Tash (Don) of Deptford, and John A. Pierson (Tracy) of Sewell. Cherished sister of Doris Charlesworth (late James), and the late Harry R. Lewis (late Caroline), Norman J. Lewis (late Eleanor), Edith DeWitt (Donald), and Mary Pierson (late Charles). Loving Grandmother of Bethany, Stephanie, Angie, Don, Bob, Patty, Ben, Paul, Adam, John, Anna, Phillip, Josh and Alyssa. Loving GG mom of Julia, Ava, Savanna, Micah, Jonathan, Leila, Jade, Robert, Lilly, Alana, Lucas, Zachery, Bella, Naomi, Hailey, Caleb, Alex, Asher, Rose, Seth. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and a multitude of great friends including members of her High School Girls LTH Club. Gladys graduated from Woodbury High School, Class of 1952. She worked at Storrie, Budd and Jones Insurance Agency in Woodbury from High School until her first born. She reentered the workplace in 1974 when she took a job in the banking industry, working for the same bank but through many mergers. She retired under First Fidelity (now Wells Fargo) serving as Branch Manager with the title of AVP in 1996. She truly relished in volunteering her love, time, and energy to her loved ones in need. Family was her main focus and joy. Gladys was a devoted wife and mother to her four children who she always supported through their childhood sports and school programs. She enjoyed tracing her family tree through her interest in genealogy. She loved feeding her backyard birds. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 9:30AM to 11AM in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096.
