Leila Ann Gill

Deptford Township: Leila Ann Gill (née Mauger), blessed with 90 wonderful years, peacefully departed this world to join God Our Father on April 7, 2025. As we mourn her loss, we find solace in knowing that God has gained a loyal daughter, a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She was the beloved daughter of the late Winfield and Dorotha Mauger of Tuckahoe , sister to the late Elaine Carty of Virginia (Woodbury)and Scott Mauger of Woodbine, devoted wife of the late Robert B. Gill, Sr. and the loving mother of Cathy Manaugh (Skip) of Virginia, Robert B. Gill, Jr. (Dee) of Deptford, Michael Gill, Sr. (Mary Beth) of National Park, Timothy Gill of Sewell, and Thomas Gill (Tracy) of Deptford. She was a devoted grandmother to Jenny, Katie, Kelly, Robert III, Christina, Michael Jr., Amanda, Esther, Timothy Jr., Rebecca, Gabriella, Shawn, Victoria, Scott, and Amber, and a cherished great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren and counting, as well as being beloved by many nieces and nephews. Leila's remarkable work ethic at the NJ DMV was admired by all, as her dedication to customer service ensured that each person felt heard and valued. This commitment was evident in her earlier roles as well, from her beginnings as a secretary to her positions at M&C Construction, NJ Unemployment, and as a clerk for the Deptford Township Police Department. However, her most treasured role was being a mother to her five children. Throughout her life, Leila found joy in playing cards, bowling, ceramics, and entertaining family and friends. She loved engaging in conversations, sharing in the positive gossip, and volunteering her time with Meals On Wheels. She was a constant supporter of her children and grandchildren in their various activities and events, and above all, she cherished her relationship with her Lord God. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 10am to 11am in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Drive, Deptford, NJ 08096. Funeral Service 11am in The Chapel of the funeral home. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
