Paul R. Volkwine Sr.

Paul R. Volkwine, Sr. of West Deptford passed away on the morning of March 17th, 2025, after spending 87 years enjoying life. Survived and remembered by his beloved wife of 62 years Rose Ann (nee Bramante) who he shared many moments of joy and love; His sister Miriam Zimmerman (Robert) His children Paul R. Volkwine Jr. (Debra), Michelle Volkwine (late Melissa Woolley), Michael Volkwine (Karin Reilley), Karen Giordano (Vincent) and his many grandchildren Michael J. Volkwine, Christopher M. Volkwine, Steven M. Volkwine along with their mother Renee Volkwine; Paul R. Volkwine III, Alyssa D. Volkwine, Vincent P. Giordano (Stephanie) Christopher P. Giordano (Nicole), John P. Giordano, Michelle Reilley, and his great grandchildren Paige, Michael, Max Volkwine, Logan, Benjamin Giordano, Michael J. Bruce. He is also survived by his many wonderful nieces and nephews. Paul proudly served in the US Navy from 1955 until 1958. He worked mainly as a tool and die machinist and formed a successful machine shop business in 1980 which continues to prosper today. Paul and Rose Ann traveled many places throughout his life including multiple cruises, visits to nearly every continent and many countries throughout the world. Paul enjoyed many things, especially family and work, he designed and made one-of-a-kind models. He enjoyed Sea Isle City and riding his wave runner. He was an avid gambler who loved playing poker and craps. He cherished Sunday dinners with the family as we gathered to watch football. He enjoyed watching television, watched many series repetitively, some of his favorites Homeland, 24 and his number one favorite was Star Trek. The TV was always on. Most of all Paul will be remembered for his quick wit, kind and generous heart and his outgoing personality. He had a way of making everyone feel special even if he just met you, he always enjoyed being around people and was often the life of the party. He lived well and was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. To remember and honor Paul today, and every day, enjoy a good laugh with someone. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be offered to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital (stjude.org). Visitation will be Saturday, March 29th, 2025 from 11am-12pm with a service beginning at 12pm in The Chapel at Boucher Funeral Home, 1757 Delsea Drive Deptford, NJ 08096.
