Shirley A. DeVillasanta

Shirley A. DeVillasanta (nee Pisieczko) of Deptford, NJ passed away on April 29, 2021 at the age of 86. Shirley was born in Philadelphia, PA to John and Marguerite Pisieczko. Shirley was one of three children, including John and Kenny Pisieczko. In 1958, Shirley married the love of her life, Donald DeVillasanta, and moved to New Jersey shortly afterwards. Shirley became a bus driver for Deptford Township Public Schools for over 30 years, a job which she reminisced over often with her family and friends. Throughout her life Shirley was a member of multiple organizations such as the VFW Auxiliary Post 2174 Westville Grove, Moose Lodge (Lindenwold Chapter), Red Hat Society, Y.E.S. and Incarnation Seniors. Shirley spent the latter half of her life vacationing and cruising with her friends, taking many pictures and spending time with her extended family. Shirley took pleasure in Senior bus trips to the casinos and in her earlier years participated in a bowling league. One of Shirley’s passions was crafting and she could be found at craft fairs on the weekends selling her unique gifts. Shirley was a loving mother to her beloved daughter-in-law Margaret DeVillasanta, devoted grandmother to Donald DeVillasanta (Lianna), Steven DeVillasanta (Katherine) and Kevin DeVillasanta (Maureen), and an adoring Great Grandmother to Abigail, Delaney, Rowan, Amelia, Jacob and future great-granddaughter. Shirley cherished her time as an aunt to Victoria, Kenny, Cheryl, Dorrie, John, Francine, and Valarie, and delighted in the opportunity to speak lovingly about her family and her “Great Grands” that were so special to her. Shirley also leaves behind her son, Richard DeVillasanta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9am to 10am in The Chapel at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. A Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, May 10, 2021 at 11am at Infant Jesus Parish at St. John Vianney RC Church, 2901 Good Intent Rd., Deptford, NJ 08096. Interment will be held at 12:30 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 500 Delsea Drive, Sewell, NJ 08080.
